HWP-Traverse for Hotwire Probes
The 1D hot-wire traverse enables the automated positioning of hot-wire probes. Due to its compact and lightweight design, it is particularly suitable for measuring pipe flows or small fans.
As an option, a customer-specific adapter for connection to a pipe can be ordered.
It can be controlled either via USB or RS232. The stepper motor control is included in the delivery. The programmatic connection can be done either directly via G-Code with an ASCII protocol or via the supplied LabVIEW drivers.
A complete measuring program is also available as an option. However, a suitable data acquisition system from our company (sDAQ, 4CTA) is required.
An intuitive impression of the flow conditions can be obtained by decoupling the fluctuation components to a headphone. Since the ear is the best frequency analyser, this is one of the most effective methods for the investigation of aeroacoustic problems.
